Dear SONAME members,
As per clamor of maritime industry leaders both in government and the private sector, our esteemed organization would be coming up with a “Roster of Naval Architects” for various specializations like the preparation of vessel’s plans/drawings, conducting inclining experiments, preparation of stability calculations, ship construction/conversion, etc. This move bodes well in promoting all our registered naval architects to be gainfully employed or contracted in our developing maritime industry.
In this regard, please submit ASAP your applications to our secretariat with deadline on October 31, 2016. All submissions shall be reviewed and approved by the Board before uploading in our website and formal issuance to the Maritime Industry Authority, Philippine Coast Guard and other maritime-related organizations like the Philippine Inter-island Shipping Association, etc. who will be needing our professional services. Below is a preliminary list of the various categories:
- Vessel’s plans and drawings compliant with MARINA Circular 2015-07 (attached)
- Stability calculations compliant MARINA Circular 2015-08 (attached)
- Ship construction
- Ship conversion/alteration
- Ship classification
- Non-class surveys like H&M and P&I Condition Surveys, On Hire / Off Hire Surveys, Pre-purchase Surveys, Towage Approval Surveys, Grounding and Collision Surveys, Cargo Damage Surveys and Investigations, Pollution Surveys, Fire Investigations, Expert Witness, Risk Evaluation and Analysis, Superintendency and Repair Supervision, Project Cargo Surveys, Nickel Ore Loading Surveys, JH143 Shipyard risk assessment surveys, Condition Valuation

Please submit your CV with detailed accomplishments of your capability and competency (i.e vessel name, type, GPA etc) to provide above services and specify which category specializations you prefer to be included. The Board reserves the right to ask for more evidence or seek validation of your submitted CV data
We shall aim to get 100% complete listing from our list of PRC-registered naval architects, however, your intention to join this list still needs to be signified as this endeavour is purely voluntary.
