The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, Inc. (SONAME) and the Philippine Registry of Shipping, Inc. (PRS) held its First Joint Golf Cup last May 12, 2017 at the Aoki Course of Eagle Ridge Golf & Country Club, Cavite City in pursuit of its common aspiration for promotion of safe seas. This coincides with the celebration of 67 years of Naval Architecture in the Philippines and the 28th Founding Anniversary of PRS.
Proceeds from this golf tournament will be allocated to projects & initiatives on the promotion of maritime safety in the country e.g. technical training for industry practitioners on probabilistic damage stability, acquisition of latest engineering softwares, etc.
Results of the tournament are as follows:
