Dear All,
Pleased to announce that we shall be conducting the SONAME TECHNICAL SEMINAR 2017 (CPD Series 2017-02) scheduled on the 20th of October 2017 at Casino Español De Manila, Kalaw Ermita
and we invite all maritime stakeholders to attend and participate.
Attached is the copy of our initial program for your perusal and a copy of the registration form to be filled up. A fee of PHP 1, 500.00 – is chargeable only to cover for lunch and AM and PM snacks.
For SONAME members (honorary, fellow, regular, associate, affiliate and student), our Annual General Membership Meeting and Election of Board of Trustees are scheduled also on same day in the evening. A fee of PHP 1, 000 only is chargeable to cover our buffet dinner. If one attends the two events, a discounted rate of PHP 2, 300 – shall apply.
We have invited USEC Felipe A. Judan to be our Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker for this affair.
Please note that all licensed naval architect members are required to attend our Annual General Membership Meeting as well as to comply with our annual dues and CPD program to maintain his membership of good standing in our Society. Attendance to the Annual GM Meeting is required at least twice during the 3-year validity period of PRC licenses. Exemptions are granted for those working overseas but must submit proof of employment etc. We have submitted for CPD points for this event and aiming for 10-15 credit units.
For this evening session, we would appreciate to have your confirmation of attendance to this meeting not later than October 6, 2017 to establish proper quorum. For those who cannot physically attend, attached is our proxy form. Kindly complete and send back to us preferably by email.
The election is for eleven (11) Trustees with a two-year term as mandated by By-laws; seven (7) Board of Trustees from Luzon and four (4) from Vis-Min.
We sincerely hope to have your presence during this event that our Society has annually organized as we look forward to your positive response.
