During the 2019 Annual General Membership Meeting of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers Inc., Engr. Sammuel T. Lim, Chairman of the SONAME graced the Welcome Remarks and Introduction of the Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker. Engr. Lim also gave an update to the maritime industry.
SONAME bestowed a Plaque of Appreciation to Ms. Elizabeth Bun, General Manager, in grateful appreciation to Fireworks Trade Exhibitions & Conferences Philippines Inc. in facilitating the exchange of information and ideas among its members and to maritime industry thru its yearly PHILMARINE Exhibit since 2016.
The Harbin Engineering University Ship Equipment & Technology Co. Ltd. was bestowed as Honorary Member for a position of prominent professional responsibility in the Philippine maritime industry.
Then, the President, Engr. Jerome M. Manuel made his President’s Report for the update on the profession and organization to the general membership entitled “Naval Architecture Profession in the Renaissance”.
Mr. Ricardo R. Tuliao as Treasurer reported to the General Membership of SONAME’s financial position with a comparison of December 2018 audited FS to present current assets as of May 31, 2019.
